TO Salon Suites was created by two best friends who have worked together for 15 years and they decided to expand all the knowledge they have learned in the industry. With help from our families and friends, we came together to open the next generation of salons.

Donna Bard, 5-time Emmy Nominated for Dancing with the Stars & Rent Live, has been a Hairstylist for 35 years with 16 years at Giuseppe Franco Salon in Beverly Hills from 1985-‐2001, and 11 years at Cleo’s Salon in North Ranch from 2001-‐2012. Donna also has 35 years as a Makeup Artist from 1985-‐present for major celebrities in the entertainment industry including Sharon Stone, Uma Thurman, Sela Ward, Denise Richards, Lindsay Lohan, Hilary Duff, Bella Thorne, Zendaya, Zac Efron, Cody Simpson, Brad Pitt, Al Pacino, Kevin Costner, Tom Hanks, Matt Damon, Anthony Hopkins, Rob Lowe, President Clinton, and President George Bush Sr. She has worked on such hit TV Shows as Brain Games, Dancing with the Stars, Entourage, Shake It Up, The Fresh Beat Band, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, Bette, and Mad About You. In Union 706 since 1992, she was inducted into Joe Blasco’s Professional Makeup Artists’ Hall of Fame in 2009. Donna married her husband Michael in 1986. Their son Max is the Director of Content at pray.com and their daughter Samantha is a Makeup Artist and hair dresser on TV shows and Hairstylist & Makeup Artist at Salon Suites.

Michael Bard is Salon Suites’ Business Manager providing business advice and analysis for the partners. Michael has a MBA from USC and 35 years of sales, marketing & management experience in the entertainment and electronics industries as a Producer/Director/GM of Westwood One’s Video Division in Culver City 1983-1990, VP/GM at Hoffman Video in Glendale 1990-1998, VP Sales at Panoram Technologies 1998-2004, Senior Sales Manager at Christie Digital Systems 2004-2009, and Advanced Visualization, Sales Western U.S. at IGI 2010-2019. At Westwood One Michael produced video to promote concert tours for such artists as Eric Clapton, Jefferson Starship, Heart, Paul Simon, Stevie Nicks, and The Pointer Sisters. At Panoram, Christie, and IGI, Michael sold visualization systems and managed accounts for Acura, BP, Boeing, Chevron, Herman Miller, Hewlett Packard, Honda, Hyundai, JPL, Karma Automotive, Newport News Shipbuilding, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and Volkswagen.

Becki Wood, has been in the hair industry for 20 years. She managed one of the largest Salons, “Cleo Hair Salon” in Ventura County, for 8 years. Becki is very involved in the local community. For the past 4-years she has served as the President of Westlake High School's Booster Club and also served as its Vice President for the previous 8-years. Becki also has a construction license and owns her own business with her husband for the past 18 years, named BNK Designs. Becki currently maintains her real estate license and has over 12 years in the mortgage/real estate field. Becki was born in Simi Valley and graduated in 1985 from Simi Valley High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Kent in 1986. Becki enjoys family time with her 4 boys, outdoor hobbies; camping, motorcycles and water skiing.

Kent Wood is Salon Suites’ Contractor providing the initial build out
& construction of the suites, and continued construction needs.
Kent has 35+ years of experience as a Finish Carpenter and has been in Local 44 25+ years in the entertainment industry building sets for such studios as Disney and Universal Studios for such films as Pirates of the Caribbean and Spiderman. Kent is a partner of BNK Designs. Kent was born in Encino and was raised in Simi Valley, graduating from Simi Valley High School in 1982. Kent married Becki in 1986, he loves outdoor hobbies with Becki and his family including Camping, motorcycles, race cars (Nascar), and water skiing.
